What does wealth mean to you? Here are some great thoughts around that idea!

Life Has A Crush On You

We so often pray for wealth, but what is it really that we are asking for. Security? Love? Significance? Ease? Exactly what is it that wealth represents to you?

What if instead of wealth we asked to be massively contributive to the lives of others? What is instead of asking for dollars, we asked for skills, love, compassion and understanding to be used in the service of others? What if wealth was measured by the value we add to other’s lives? What if this was our focus- to add wealth in the forms of security, love, significance, adventure, ease and peace to all those we meet everyday? Would we not be millionaires of the Life?

This feels like the end of the world, but it’s not. Its math. Big deal. This doesn’t define you or your family. One door must close for another to open. We are constantly learning through opposites. Perhaps this metaphorical cliff you are feeling will be a releasing of negative energy. It is easy to live in a fear of the unknown.  At the end of the day, you are either living in fear or living in love – you can’t do both at the same time.

You and your family will be fine. You and your family ARE fine. Release your fear and embrace this change from a place of love. After all, your higher self is guiding you, even at this very moment. Trust in yourself, God and the Universe.  Things are happening as they should.

If you are going through a tough time, try to remember your broader perspective.  It is easy to vacillate between feeling lacking and knowing that things are happening as they should and you are being provided for.  Although our problems are real and our feelings are understandable and justified, I find by broadening my perspective, I often feel much better.   Consider simply looking at children in, say, Africa.  It is easy enough to realize that things could be much worse when you consider others in less fortunate circumstances. That is the easy part.  It gets harder when you expand your perspective even further to understand that you can’t actually be hurt, harmed, or even killed.  And that you chose to be here in these challenges on purpose. You have to trust your (higher) self, the universe and God.  What you are going through is exactly what you need to be going through. If you are able to calm yourself for a moment, you will likely see that you are okay.  You have much to be thankful for.  You have your family, your friends, love and your health.  This challenge is temporary.  A shift in focus must occur from a scarcity mentality to one of abundance.

This is something a good friend of mine reminds himself daily.  I like to remind myself of this as often as possible.  It is easy for me to feel like I am lacking in some way or that things wont work out. When that happens, I take a step back and remind my self that I am more than enough, everyday.  All that I need is already here. The universe is operating in my best interest.
